DECEMBER 2006
Hans-Guenther Heck and Eric Kern meet for the first time to rehearse a few rock classics. After only a few rehearsals, they decide to form a band.
JANUARY 2007
Klaus Waigand joins the band on bass.
MAY 2007
The band now calls itself Howlin’ King Snake — and the name becomes the program. The repertoire includes rock, soul and blues classics. Open-air shows and club tours across Europe begin to shape the band’s schedule.
MARCH 2008
Howlin’ King Snake records its first studio tracks, later released on the album “On The Bridge To The Blues”. Producer is Frank Metzner at Dreamland Studio near Frankfurt, Germany.
SEPTEMBER 2008
Howlin’ King Snake continues as a trio and focuses more strongly on blues rock material.
OCTOBER 2008
The band consists of Hans-Günther Heck on drums, Klaus Waigand on bass and vocals, and Eric Kern on guitar and vocals. “On The Bridge To The Blues” is released worldwide through RE-Music & Media.
JUNE 2009
The studio album “The Blues Around Here” is released. It contains eleven original songs and a version of the blues classic “Mojo Working”. Producer is again Frank Metzner.
MARCH 2010
The band plays concert shows both as opening act and as headliner.
OCTOBER 2010
“On The Bridge To The Blues” is released worldwide by Rainer Kern’s label RE-Music & Media.
OCTOBER 2011
A recorded live set becomes the basis for the album “Accidently Live”. Muff Mc June takes care of the mastering, and the album is released in 2012.
MARCH 2013
Another album is released: “From Walls To Trenches”. Guest musicians include Rainer Kern, Ralf Kern and Frank Metzner. The CD is released by RE-Music & Media. Hans-Guenther Heck decides to leave the band.
JANUARY 2014
Peter Mueller becomes the new drummer of Howlin’ King Snake.
APRIL 2014
Howlin’ King Snake starts into the year with Peter Mueller, Klaus Waigand and Eric Kern, and continues to play concerts across Europe.
JUNE 2016
Hans-Guenther Heck and Juergen Schaab rejoin the band.
OCTOBER 2017
Release of the album “SynphoSession”.
2018
Kuno Holeczek, who played drums on the SynphoSESSION album, joins the band together with Stefan Huegle on bass.
2022
Howlin’ King Snake is working on material for a new album.
